Not everybody with cystic fibrosis get the same symptom. And also the severity of the symptom might vary. If a person get cystic fibrosis, their mucus can be so thick. This thickness of mucus can blog our lungs and in turn make the patient hard to breathe. Not only the lungs that get affected by this disease. Our body digestive system also can be disrupted due to blocked pancreas. If pancreas getting blocked, then it will be hard for our digestive system to digest food. Common symptom that might emerge at the patient of this disease would be salty sweat or skin, persistent cough with phlegm, frequent lung infections, poor growth, and male infertility. Mainly, the cystic fibrosis is happen due to the flaw of human gene. The disease is a manifest of the defect of our gene which called cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator gene. This gene responsible for water and salt flow to and out of our body’s cell. The thick mucus due to this disease can be accumulated in our body’s organ like intestines, lungs, pancreas, and liver. Person with this disease might get the disease from their parents and later they will pass the gene defect to their descendants.
