SYMPTOMS


The symptoms of mental illness is vary from each person to another person. It is depend on the disorder, circumstances, and many other factors. However, there are common symptoms of mental illness which are sad feeling, feeling confuse, extreme mood swing, excessive fear, withdrawal from social life, unable to cope with daily stress, alcohol or drug abuse, change in sex drive, change in eating habit, and suicidal thinking. CAUSES


The exact cause of mental illness is not known. However, through research, expert believe that mental illness is caused by the combination of biological, psychological and environmental factors. Each of these factors may differ in their contribution to the someone’s mental illness. TREATMENTS

One of the disorder that is regarded as mental illness is schizophrenia. The treatment for schizophrenia itself also has some method of treatment. There are at least 3 groups of acupoints that can be used to treat schizophrenia. First acupoints group are renzhong (GV-26), shangxing (GV-23), neiguan (PC-6), xuangzhong (GB-39). Second group are yintang (M-HN-3), hegu (LI-4), taichong (LV-3), yanglingquan (GB-34)and the third group are baihui (GV-20), shanzhong (CV-17), quchi (LI-11), yongquan (KI-1).
