SYMPTOMS


It is the feeling of dripping mucus at the back of the throat that make this disorder called as Post Nasal Drip. This condition make the sufferer have constant urge to clear the throat. Post Nasal Drip also make symptom like sore throat and coughing. Other symptoms of this disease are teary eyes, itchiness of the nose, and headaches. TREATMENTS


Related Acupuncture Points : ST2 ST3 ST40 ST45 LI1 LI4 LI20 GB20 Acupuncture Treatment For Post Nasal Drip According to the Traditional Chinese Medicine practise, post nasal drip occur because of wind-cold or wind heat that obstruct the lung qi. The acupuncture treatment is given daily for 15 days. Usually, patient may get well after two course of treatment (30 treatments). The treatment is targeting the acupoint of GB20 (Fengchi), LI4 (Hegu), and St36 (Zusanli). Additional acupoints that may be used are UB12 (Fengmen), UB13 (Feishu), Yintang (Ex-HN 3), and Du14 (Dazhui). Additional acupoints are chosen based on each patient’s condition. After being inserted, stimulation were given for 20 minutes. To enhance the treatment, complementary treatment like moxa may be given also.
