Acupuncture and Stroke

Stroke is the disease that related with blood arteries that carry blood to the brain. It is considered as dangerous disease and most of the time it will cause disability to the patient. SYMPTOMS


The sign and symptoms of stroke usually begin suddenly. Symptoms can be different among the people who hav stroke. CAUSES


Stroke happen because blood arteries that carry blood to the brain get blocked or stopped. The blocked arteries to the brain make the brain cells lack of oxygen and eventually will die. This condition can be happen because of the other condition or disorder like hypertension, trauma, vascular malformations, use of blood-thinning medications. TREATMENTS


Related Acupuncture Points : LI10 LI8 LI9 LU11 Acupuncture Treatment For Stroke Acupuncture treatment proved to be effective way of treatment to treat stroke. One of the treatment method to treat the patient with stroke are as follow : 1. Treatment at the acupoint of Neiguan (PC6) Stimulation at this acupoint is given by manual stimulation, which is done by performing lifting, thrusting, and twisting. This action is performed to reach or get de qi sensation. 2. Treatment at the acupoint of Renzhong (DU26). The technique used for the treatment at this acupoint is bird-pecking technique. 3. Treatment at the acupoint of Sanyinjiao (SP6) Same technique is used like the technique at acupoint PC6 4. Treatment at the acupoint of Jiquan (HT1) and Chize (LU5) Stimulation is performed until movement of the upper limbs elicited at least three times. 5.
